Guides and references for Growl Audio plug-ins

Getting Started

All Growl Audio plug-ins are available as VST3 and AU. Download the installer for your platform from the plug-in's product page, run it, and restart your DAW. The plug-in will appear in your DAW's insert list.

System Requirements

  • macOS — 10.15 Catalina or later (Intel & Apple Silicon)
  • Windows — Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  • Linux — Ubuntu 20.04+ or equivalent (64-bit)

Individual plug-ins may have additional requirements listed on their product pages.

Plugin Formats

Our plug-ins support VST3 and AU formats and work with any compatible DAW, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, and more.

gFractor

Analysis Modes

gFractor offers three analysis modes — Mid/Side, Left/Right, and Transient/Tone. Switch between them using the mode selector at the top of the plugin window. Each mode provides a unique perspective on your audio signal.

Sidechain Comparison

Route a reference signal to gFractor's sidechain input to compare it against your main signal. The overlay view highlights spectral differences between the two. Press the swap key to quickly switch main and sidechain for A/B comparison.

Stereo Tools

The stereo analysis panel includes a goniometer, correlation meter, and per-octave stereo width display. Use these tools to check mono compatibility, visualize phase relationships, and identify where stereo width is concentrated in your mix.

Oscilloscope

The built-in oscilloscope provides real-time waveform visualization of your audio signal. Use it to inspect transient shapes, verify phase alignment, and see how your signal behaves in the time domain alongside the spectral view.
